INDIA JAZZ SUITES (also called Fastest Feet in Rhythm), performed by Pandit Chitresh Das and Jason Samuels Smith, is an explosive collaboration between one of India’s foremost Kathak masters and one of the world’s fastest, Emmy-award winning tap dancers and has toured over 30 cities! The result is high entertainment which crosses all boundaries of age, race and culture — a blast of incredible speed and power, grace and beauty, epic storytelling and the pure joy of dance. 

Sita Haran

SITA HARAN (the abduction of Sita) -- performed by the Chitresh Das Dance Company, is choreographed, composed, and directed by celebrated Kathak icon, Pandit Chitresh Das.  It is a dynamic and original interpretation of an excerpt from the great epic of India, the Ramayana.Sita Haran brings this ancient epic to life with an international all-female cast of dancers, sumptuous multimedia, Sanskrit poetry and an original score. Pandit Das delves deeply into the characters, creating a unique contemporary perspective, shedding new light on this story of greed, lust, distraction and divine intervention.
