Event	Details and Directions for 30th Anniversary Performance

We are looking forward to seeing you at the Chitresh Das Dance Company and Chhandam School of Kathak's 30th Anniversary Performance and Gala featuring Pandit Chitresh Das and Jason Samuels Smith in "India Jazz Suites", taking place this Saturday, March 20th, 6:00pm and the Palace of Fine Arts Theatre, San Francisco. Please review the information below on event details, start time, directions, parking and restaurants in the area. The Palace of Fine Arts is located at 3301 Lyon Street in San Francisco. When you arrive, please come to the main lobby entrance. I. EVENT DETAILS Event start time: The performance will begin promptly at 6pm. The box office will open at 5pm. Post-Performance Gala: If you have tickets to the the post-performance Gala, it will take place immediately following the performance, in the lobby at the Palace of Fine Arts. The Gala will include a sit-down dinner catered by Amber India Restaurant (http://www.amber-india.com/), including both vegetarian and non-vegetarian Indian appetizers and entrees. Childcare during Gala: Childcare is available for children ages 4 and above – during the Gala only (not the performance). Fee per child is $25. Please view the attached registration form. All children must be registered no later than Friday, March 19th. If you have any questions about childcare, or would like to reserve a space for your child, please email 30thanniversary@kathak.org. II. ATTIRE Though no strict dress code, this is a formal event. Many attendees will be dressed in formal Indian attire. III. LOBBY EXHIBITION We’d like to encourage you to arrive as close to 5pm as possible to enjoy the lobby exhibition at the event. Various displays highlighting the work of Pandit Chitresh Das, the Chitresh Das Dance Company & the Chhandam School of Kathak will be on display. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate the past, present and future of our organization!! IV. DIRECTIONS, PARKING & TRANSPORTATION Directions: ALLOW EXTRA TIME: Road work is taking place near and around the Palace of Fine Arts. Regarding directions, it has been recommended that attendees try to avoid taking 19th Avenue altogether. The best alternate route from the South Bay especially, is to take 101 North to Van Ness Avenue. - From Van Ness, turn left at Lombard St - Continue onto Richardson Ave - Slight right at Lyon St - Turn left to stay on Lyon St Arrive at 3301 Lyon Street, San Francisco.
